Bale, 32, is set to become a free agent when his contract with Real Madrid expires at the end of the month.

The Wales captain reportedly has a number of offers on the table as he plots his next move, with Tottenham, Newcastle and several MLS sides also linked with the forward.

There were suggestions Bale might retire from professional football at the end of the season after falling out of favour at Madrid.

But he is set to continue in the sport after helping Wales qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Bale jetted off on holiday with his family after the recent international break and returned to Cardiff on Tuesday.

According to Wales Online, Bale visited Cardiff City’s Vale of Glamorgan training base on Wednesday to undertake physio work with the Football Association of Wales’ (FAW) physios.

His visit coincided with that of Cardiff’s players, who were returning for their first day of pre-season training.

The report claims Bale spoke with Cardiff boss Morison and that his future was discussed.

It comes after talks between the Championship club and the player’s representatives over a possible deal for the forward.

Bale is expected to jet off on a second holiday soon and will be abroad until July 16.

But it is claimed Bale will be ready to make a call over his future in ‘the coming days’ and will inform Cardiff of his decision before he is due to return from his holiday.

Speaking earlier this month, Bale said he had received “loads” of offers from clubs but laughed off suggestions he could stay in La Liga with Getafe, following reports the Spanish club had been offered the former Tottenham star.

When asked if he knew where he was heading, Bale said: “No [I don’t know] but I’m not going to Getafe, that’s for sure.”
