Netherlands manager Louis van Gaal hilariously told his wife, Truus, she could come to his hotel room to ‘get laid’ following a training session at the World Cup.
The 71-year-old took time out of a light training session on Tuesday to speak to his wife on the sidelines.
Nobody could’ve anticipated what he said next. Not even Truus.
While in conversation, the former Manchester United boss remarked: “But you can come to the hotel. Just to my room. To get laid.”
He then looked to the camera to let out a little chuckle before the footage cut out.
Van Gaal is known for his outlandish personality with a string of iconic moments throughout his 32-year career as a manager.
This one could easily be the lewdest of them all. It’s been viewed over 300,000 times on Twitter at the time of writing.
Fans have reacted to the video and they’re glad van Gaal is still dropping nuggets of gold so late into his career.
One person tweeted: “This guy. My manager forever.”
A second put: “This man is f**king box office.”
Someone added: “Keeping the romance alive at 71. Classic LVG.”
While another joked: “I understand why he wants ‘horny’ players now.”
During his time as United manager in 2016, van Gaal famously claimed he wanted his players to be more ‘horny’ in a Europa League tie against Midtjylland.
He declared, with a confused Juan Mata sitting next to him: “We have to keep the ball better and we have to move the ball quicker – that’s always what we have to do. Desire… it is a great word. I often use the word ‘horny’ with my players.”
With six minutes remaining, Frenkie de Jong found Cody Gakpo with a speculative ball into the box. PSV Eindhoven star Gakpo, linked with a move to the Premier League in recent months, got above Edouard Mendy to head home. Davy Klaassen scored in added time after Mendy had denied Memphis Depay.
