Yunyi Electric Expands to Tangier with Major Automotive Electronics Plant

In a strategic move that underscores the growing appeal of Morocco within global value chains, Jiangsu Yunyi Electric Group, a leading Chinese manufacturer of smart automotive electronic components, announced a $66 million investment to establish a fully integrated industrial site in the Kingdom. This project, approved by the company's board of directors on December 30, 2025, aims to create a wholly-owned subsidiary that will serve as a pivotal production base outside of China, enhancing the company's international expansion capabilities and ensuring the sustainability of its industrial operations geared towards global markets. The Chinese group selected the Mohammed VI Tangier Tech City, near Tangier, as the location for its new project, leveraging the unique geographical location of northern Morocco and its proximity to major ports and European and African supply chains.
